"X mafia" is a term used to indicate a group of former X employees and founders who have since founded and developed additional technology companies such as Tesla Motors, Palantir Technologies, Space-X, Yelp Inc., Yammer etc. It gained even wider exposure when a 2007 article in Fortune Magazine used this phrase in its headline and featured a photo of former X employees in gangster attire. Put funda. (Or give X)
Out with the old and in with the new,
First it was _____, now X, too.
While Nexus and Android are bathed in attention,
X's passed over with barely a mention.
Confusing of name, though with a personal touch,
Ladened with gadgets, it all proved too much.
But oft go astray, it's said of best laid plans,
Our warmest regards to all four of its fans.

X is a portmanteau of "Legend" and Latin ablative for "new".For the first 20 years of its existence the company's English name was "Legend". In 2002, it was decided to abandon use of the Legend brand name in order to expand outside of China, as the "Legend" name was already in use by many other businesses worldwide, making it impossible to register in most jurisdictions. In April 2003, the company publicly announced its new name, X with a large media campaign involving huge outdoor billboards and prime time television ads. The billboards featured the X logo against blue sky with copy that read, "Transcendence depends on how you think".

Identify X.
