GREYCELL #36

X is a Bantu term roughly translating to "human kindness". In South Africa, it has come to be used as a term for a kind of humanist philosophy, ethic or ideology propagated in the Africanization process in 1980s. Since the transition to democracy, the term has become more widely known outside of Southern Africa, notably popularized to English language readers by "Desmond Tutu". What is X?
